HIFU  (HIGH INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND) TREATMENT

In recent years, the beauty industry has seen a surge in non-invasive cosmetic procedures aimed at rejuvenating the skin and combatting the signs of aging. One such popular treatment gaining attention is High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU).

Praised for its effectiveness and minimal downtime, HIFU has captured the interest of many individuals seeking firmer and more youthful-looking skin.

WHAT IS THE AGAPE ULTRA LIFT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

HIFU is the only non-invasive treatment cleared by the FDA to actually lift the skin. HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Without puncturing the skin's surface, this treatment can target various depths of the body's tissue for skin tightening, skin lifting and body contouring. HIFU technology boosts new collagen production and collagen regeneration right at the source. Collagen allows plumping of fine lines/wrinkles and tightening of the skin. It is sometimes called the "Lunchtime Face Lift" as the treatment is quick and very tolerable. A non-invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes ultrasound energy to target specific layers of the skin. Unlike traditional ultrasound, which creates images, HIFU concentrates the energy to induce controlled thermal coagulation points deep within the skin’s tissues without affecting the surface layer.

• High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) directly delivers heat energy to targeted layers of the skin that can stimulate and renew the       skin’s collagen. Consequently, improving the texture and reducing sagging of the skin

• HIFU energy penetrates much deeper than laser or RF energy, in an effort to effect superior tissue tightening and longevity of results by   selectively targeting the SMAS layer (the layer plastic surgeons target)

• These ultrasound waves penetrate deeper in to the tissues without affecting the epidermis and focus at a single point in the adipose       tissue and cause thermal injury, in turn, creating collagen production.

TREATMENT AREAS:

• Improves overall skin elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles, texture and facial contour
• Lifts and tightens cheeks, jowls, marionette lines and defines jawline
• Uplifts brows, eyes and upper lip while softening fine lines and wrinkles
• Reduces "Turkey Neck/Double Chin"
• Can tighten skin on the hands, elbows, etc.
• Breaks down stubborn fatty area's of the body as well as tightening and improving overall skin elasticity  (Buttocks, Abdominal, Arms,  Thighs, Knees)

How Does HIFU Work?

During HIFU treatment, a qualified aesthetic provider uses a handheld device to deliver focused ultrasound waves to the targeted area. The waves pass harmlessly through the skin until they reach the desired depth, typically the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer or the dermis.

The SMAS is a fibrous network of connective tissue that supports the facial muscles and is crucial in maintaining skin elasticity. By targeting the SMAS layer or the dermis, HIFU stimulates collagen production and promotes tissue regeneration, leading to skin tightening over time.

What Can HIFU Do?

HIFU is a non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound energy to target tissue beneath the skin’s surface, primarily for aesthetic improvement and skin tightening.

HIFU can effectively lift and tighten skin on the face, neck, and chest by stimulating collagen production.

The ultrasound energy induces a thermal effect, which causes micro-injuries in the tissue, prompting the body’s natural healing process to start producing new collagen, leading to a gradual tightening and firming of the skin.

HIFU is also used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lift sagging skin, and improve overall skin texture and contour.

How Long Does HIFU Take To Show Result?

To achieve the potential result, HIFU usually takes 2 to 3 months for the results to be visible gradually after doing the treatment.

Patients often report a gradual improvement in skin tone, texture, and tightness during this period, resulting in a more rejuvenated and lifted appearance. Therefore, the 2 to 3-month time frame allows for the natural collagen-building process of HIFU to take effect.

Should I Follow Any Pre-Treatment Or Post-Treatment Care Recommendations?

Both pre-treatment and post-treatment care are important considerations when undergoing HIFU treatment to optimize results and promote a smooth recovery.
