Veins are made of one-way valves. When excess blood backs up, the body releases pressure by developing new veins.  Spider veins are not only unsightly; they can occasionally cause aching, swelling and burning. The laser’s long pulse duration targets blood vessels, resulting in a gentle heating effect which destroys the blood vessel. The damaged vein shrinks and eventually dissolves over time resulting in a uniform spider vein removal.

 

The spider veins are effectively removed in one or two sessions and there is no recovery time. Although there may be local discomfort with this procedure, it will fade within 2-3 minutes. In most cases, 50-70% of the treated vessels will be gone for good after a series of treatments.
